Nine of my 10 handmade Christmas cards! 🎁

I started them in August and finished them two weeks before Christmas 😱 They used up every bit of my pre-Xmas festive spirit but I'm pretty happy with how they turned out 🎄

I stitched 20 cards in 2022! And I'm NOT doing it again (well, maybe just a couple). It was a good experiment but they each take about a week to make. That's a lot of time away from bigger projects that I'm now way behind on! 🪡

2023 stitching goals:
1. Finish planned gifts
2. Finish at least one project for me
3. Be brave
4. Experiment a little
5. Keep loving it ❤

Last finish for 2022! Despite having more on my to-do list 😅 A 'travel-sized' pink bargello needle book that a friend asked for 💛 I hope she finds it as useful as I do my blue one!

Finished it at about 9pm Christmas Eve, so I took some very rushed snaps as the light faded before wrapped it for gifting! 💝

Bargello is always so much fun. I will have to try more in 2023.

Two years ago today I was freed from Hotel Quarant

Two years ago today I was freed from Hotel Quarantine to re-start a life in Australia. What a wild couple of years!!

- Started my dream job in a new city that feels like home ⚓

- Made great new friends and loved being closer to family ❤

- Bought my first home! Filled it with plants and started learning reno skills 🪴

There have been struggles too, some that I'm still working through, but I wouldn't change them either 🦋

I am so bloody proud of myself and the little life I'm creating here. Bring on 2023 and more of exactly this 🎉

The latest saga of unexperienced home DIYs was learning about door handle latches. Specifically, how to make them slide! 🚪

All the old internal door latches were stuck open (on purpose, the previous owner had dexterity issues) but I have visitors coming soon and we all need closeable doors for privacy 🚽🛁 The internet was no help so I figured out how to fix it myself! 💪

I originally bought new modern hardware but we had troubles installing them. I'll keep the old hardware until the doors are replaced. This fix didn't need to be pretty, just functional!
